Zearfoss rallies from 11th to finish second at Port Royal Speedway; Attica, Wayne County ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 22, 2019) - Despite Brock Zearfoss’ initial plan to visit Attica Raceway Park with the All Star Circuit of Champions getting washed away, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ made the best of his wet weekend and rejoined the infamous Pennsylvania Posse for another round of weekly action at the Port Royal Speedway ‘Speed Palace’ on Saturday, April 20.

Taking part in an exciting outcome, to say the least, Brock Zearfoss rallied from 11th to finish second at the ‘Speed Palace’ on Saturday night, nearly earning the victory spoils with a last lap maneuver around Gettysburg’s Danny Dietrich. Although impressive, Zearfoss’ last lap effort was ultimately overturned by Dietrich’s crossover move at the exit of turn two; Dietrich drove on to score the win.

“This team is strong right now and it feels great. I can’t say enough about their hard work and dedication. It sucks our All Star plans were washed away, but we made the best of it and it worked out,” Brock Zearfoss said, driver of the Premier Motorsports/Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Meckley's Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/No. 70 sprint car. “We were good enough to win that race, but things just weren’t meant to be. We’ll try again this Friday and Saturday with the All Stars.”

Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2019 campaign with another round of All Star Circuit of Champions competition on Friday and Saturday, April 26 & 27. The Jonestown, Pa., native will join ‘America’s Series’ at Attica Raceway Park for the rescheduled Core & Main Spring Nationals on Friday, April 26, followed by a stop at ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ - Wayne County Speedway - on Saturday, April 27. Zearfoss will enter the weekend tied for ninth in the current All Star Circuit of Champions driver standings, padded by a podium run at Virginia Motor Speedway.
