Weisensel Takes Over AFS Badger Midget Series Point Lead
On the strength of five, top-ten runs, in Advanced Fastening Supply Badger Midget competition, Cody Weisensel finds himself on top of the leaderboard in club points. For the Sun Prairie, WI, driver who's BMARA resume' spans over twenty years, it's his first time ever leading the pack.
Weisensel takes over the lead from Kyle Stark who has led for most of the season, but has had bad luck the last two races with a flip and mechanical DNF.
Weisensel's strength has been his consistency. He's been in the top-ten in every race he's made, missing only the Kankakee event earlier in the year. He has also scored two podium finishes. He is still seeking the first Badger Midget Series win of his career.
Like Weisensel, Beaver Dam's Matt Rechek moved up one spot in the rankings and is now in second, 23 points back. Todd Kluever is up to third, with Stark down to fourth and Sunday's winner Brandon Waelti in fifth.

Fans are invited to play the Fantasy Racing contest on the MyRacePass App. The winners from the last two weeks each won admission for two to the races courtesy of the BMARA. It is available for every Badger race and whoever wins a given week receives two free passes to the next race. There will be a prize for the season champhampion too.
