Brian Shirley kicks off World of Outlaws road trip with pair of Top-10 finishes

Starting off a long road trip with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series, Brian Shirley was one of 24 Late Models at Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tenn.) on Thursday afternoon.

Stopping the clock second-fastest, Shirley won his heat race and pulled the No. 4 in the redraw. Surviving a rough and tumble feature event, Brian brought back a Top-5 finish in fourth.

At Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.) on Friday, Brian started 13th in the $15,000-to-win feature and finished 15th.

With a weekend-high 30 entries at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway on Saturday, Shirley picked up the pace in the 50-lap feature and brought home a seventh-place finish for another Top-10.

Shirley is currently 10th in the series point standings.
