Brian Shirley competes with World of Outlaws at Boone and Fairbury

With a second-place finish in his heat race positioning him on the fourth row for the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Brian rebounded to finish 15th in the 50-lapper after getting spun around on the third circuit.

Back with the World of Outlaws on Friday, Shirley was one of 81 cars crammed into the pit area at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) for the 32nd annual Prairie Dirt Classic weekend. Following the 22nd-fastest qualifying lap in his group, Shirley gained four positions in his 25-lap prelim to finish seventh.

Transferring into one of three consolation races on Saturday for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win Prairie Dirt Classic, Brian was collected in a tangle that resulted in an early exit.
