Pair of Top-10 finishes in Illini 100 at Farmer City Raceway

Friday night found Bob Cullen Racing pilot Brian Shirley in action at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) as World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series invaded for the two-day Illini 100. In a field of 46 cars, Brian followed up the fifth fastest time in his group with 10-lap heat race victory. On Saturday evening, Shirley came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth-place outing, sending him into the B-Main. Scoring a runner-up finish behind Kyle Bronson, Brian locked into the 19th-starting position for the Illini 100. With $20,000 on the line, Brian Shirley passed 10 cars in the 75-lapper to place ninth.
