Western World and Oval Nationals Up Next

It has been a dream season for us at Hodges Motorsports thanks to my family, Jake Argo, Dan Appel, Jerry Gibson, and so many more who have contributed to our program. Coming off 8 wins and our first USAC National win at Lawrenceburg Speedway, we are looking forward to the west coast crown jewel events that are Western World at Arizona Speedway and the Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway. For both events in the 410 car, note that we will be flying the #17 for McGhee USAC owner points. We are thrilled to have Sam McGhee along with us on this trip to help keep us sharp and introduce new ideas and perspectives. He had been on a role as of late fielding a car for Justin Grant in USAC and local Indiana competition.

It kicks off tomorrow night and Saturday night running both the 360 and 410 with USAC Southwest vs West Coast and the USAC National tour, respectively, at Western World. We have yet to visit the 3/8 mile Arizona Speedway and this will be the first time for many Midwest competitors while USAC Southwest drivers frequently visit the facility. It will be a challenge to learn and adapt quickly, and I'm excited for the opportunity.

Next Thursday through Saturday, we will be at the Perris Auto Speedway for the $25k to win Oval Nationals. I consider this race to be the biggest nonwing event for me, living in the west. I also consider PAS one of my favorite tracks, having made our first run there last year at Oval Nationals, and since then, being able to get our first 410 win there in April.

Needless to say, we are all excited for these last couple of weekends but this year couldn't have been possible without the tremendous support of Jackson Compaction, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Ortega's Appliance, Hodges Automotive, Maxim Racing, CSI Shocks, K&N, ButlerBulit, Wilwood, Hinchman, FK Rod Ends, Keizer, Hoosier Midwest, Indy Race Parts, The Oil Medics, JE Pistons, and Total Seal.

You can follow along the next couple weekends by watching pay per view online or following me on Twitter @JoshHodgesRacin and Facebook (search Josh Hodges Racing).
