Hodges Motorsports Update - USA Raceway Night 3

The 2010 edition of Western World is all wrapped up in Tucson, AZ atop the cowboy up semi-banked USA Raceway. I was doin' double duty tonight, running both the non-wing and winged B mains. In the non-wing car, I started 10th, and got up to 7th within the first couple of laps really going forward, and the track got really slick, so I just hung on and could go no further. With the wing, I started 6th and jumped to 5th on the start, where I rode, pulling away from 6th, but just staying steady with 4th until a late caution. When I picked up the throttle, the right rear got cut down by something up near the cushion, and that sent me into the wall, but luckily I didn't have much speed yet, and was able to limp it to the infield. That put us out of both of the main events, but we have had a lot of fun this week. A big thanks to "MacDaddy" Mark Rosborough, Brad Benic, and all who came and supported us this weekend. Congratulations to Johnny Herrera for his impressive weekend, winning last night, and taking home a second and sixth feature night. Congrats to Rick Ziehl, too, on another ASCS Soutwest championship.
