Hodges Motorsports Update - Thunder Raceway

We just finished up here in Show Low, AZ with the first of two nights of open winged action at Thunder Raceway. I started off the night pulling pill number 57 which set me starting 3rd in the second of 2 heat races. On the start, I fell in at third and was slowly gaining ground on the front two, and got by for second on the last lap. That put me in the 4-lap dash where I fell in third also, where I finished. That set me up to start third and I got by second on the start where I ran all of the race. It was green until about 3 or 4 laps to go and there was a red flag. Though I was close, I still could not get by for first and settled for second. The track was slick from top to bottom, and there were only 10 cars which created little traffic. We'll get ready for tomorrow night and hope to improve on a good, but slightly disappointing 2nd place run.
