Hodges Motorsports Update - White Sands Speedway

We are parked now in Carrizozo, NM after a night of topless racing at the White Sands Speedway in Tularosa. It was my first non-wing race since New Year's. Jody and the William's family were gracious enough to offer their car to race non-wing after our original plan to race in Tucson got washed up. We drew pill 3 to start 2nd in the 1st heat. On the start I got an edge coming out of turn two and jumped out to the lead and won it. The car was pretty comfortable but a bit loose on the dusty, slick track. We made the dash and finished 3rd after starting 3rd. It was a quick few laps and hard to do much. Finally, we started the main 6th and ran 6th most of it. There was not a lot of passing. Finally after a spin in front of me, I moved up to 5th and stayed there the rest of the race. The car felt fairly good but we could have tightened it up more for the track conditions. It was just another good fun night of racing. We don't know our plans yet for next weekend but we will keep the schedule updated.
