We are now heading home after a night of ASCA sprint car action at Canyon Raceway in Phoenix, AZ. We pulled the number 21 pill and started 4th in the heat race. The track was tacky and fast up around the top and I ended up finishing 4th. After that we got ready for the main and made some changes. We started 7th and to our surprise, the track got slick getting in the corner pretty early but it was still a one lane track on top. For most of the race I ran from 6th to 7th before going off the end of the track in turn 3. I got back on the track and ended up finishing 9th. I definately learned a lot last night about how to drive the car on that type of track I and think I can better my performance next time.
