Outrunning Mason Oberkramer in his heat race to pick up the win, Unzicker went onto draw the third-starting position for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Ryan dropped five spots in the 40-lapper to finish eighth.
On Wednesday afternoon at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill.), Ryan followed up the fourth-fastest time in his group with a fourth-to-second run in his heat. Gaining two spots in the 40-lap feature, Unzicker posted a fourth-place finish. He followed Bobby Pierce, Shannon Babb, and Max Blair across the line with Brian Shirley coming in fifth.
In a field of 32 cars on Thursday at Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Ill.), Unzicker edged his way into the feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Ryan passed 10 cars to register a fourth-place finish.
On Friday, Ryan headed to Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Mo.) for the two-day St. Louis Firecracker Faceoff. With 46 Late Models entered as the DIRTcar Summer Nationals collided with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series, Unzicker followed up a fifth-place finish in his heat with a third-place finish in his consolation event. Moving forward five spots in the 40-lap A-Main, Ryan salvaged a 17th-place outing.
The following night, Unzicker was forced to take a provisional into the $20,000-to-win finale after missing a transfer spot in his heat race and B-Main. Starting in 23rd, Ryan advanced through the field 14 positions to finish ninth.
