Good Start At Cedar Lake Speedway
The UMSS season started off at Cedar Lake this past Saturday with 18 cars.
We started on the outside of the front row and rode in 2nd place for most of the race behind Jerry Richert JR, Jerry had a motor let go on the back stretch and we won the heat from that misfortune. The challenge race lined us up in 4th, with not much passing I decided to see what the low side was like and we made some good laps with good momentum and ended up getting around Cody Hann for 3rd at the stripe. The Feature lined us up in the inside of the 3rd row. it was pretty much follow the top and capitalize on any mistakes others made. We gained a few spots due to the misfortune of a few cars in front and ran 4th in the A. The car was good, the crew was good, the crowd was good, and it was a beautiful night for racing. I have commitments the weekend of the 9th in May but we will be back in action at Brainerd's North Central Speedway May 16th.
