Starks Searching for Third Triumph of Year during Season Debut at Cottage Grove

Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (April 18, 2016) – Trey Starks has won his last two races on a Saturday and he hopes that trend will continue this weekend.

Starks, who took last weekend off, will return to action this Saturday at Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Ore., where he won twice last season.

“I’ve always enjoyed racing at Cottage Grove,” he said. “It’s a high-banked track that usually has a groove on the bottom and a groove on the top so it is pretty racy.”

Starks has an outstanding track record at the quarter-mile oval during the past three seasons. In addition to the two wins last season, Starks picked up another four top-five finishes in 2015. He also finished in the top 10 during all four races in 2014 and recorded five top-four finishes in six 360ci races in 2013.

“In order to win races you have to put yourself in contention and I think the past three years we have done that,” he said. “If you’re earning podium finishes and top fives the wins will come. We got two last year and we’re hungry for another one this weekend.”

Starks has 15 top-six finishes in 18 races at Cottage Grove Speedway since 2013 not counting two World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series events.
