Longdale Speedway Features Eight Different Feature Winners During Mega Night

Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (Aug. 28, 2017) – Eight different drivers scored a feature victory last Saturday during a stacked night of racing at Longdale Speedway.

Andy Shouse claimed the Sprint Series of Oklahoma and United Rebel Sprint Series co-sanctioned main event, which was the lone sprint car race of the season at the track, while Lance Sessions, Brandon Kenny, Mike Roach, Willie Smith, Landon Maddox, Brendon Gemmill and Jessie Hoskins also visited Victory Lane.

Shouse passed Zach Blurton, who led the first 18 laps, on the bottom groove with only seven laps remaining to record the win. Jake Martens placed third with Gary Owens fourth and Taylor Velasquez fifth.

Steven Richardson, Velasquez and Cody Whitworth each picked up a heat race win.

Sessions charged from eighth to claim the pure stocks main event victory over seventh-starting Tommy Bohnstedt. Alex Fennema rallied from 16th to third place with Dustin Schoonover placing fourth and JR Williams fifth.

Hesston Shaw and Bohnstedt both won a heat race.

Kenny maneuvered from eighth to score the regularly scheduled IMCA sport mods triumph. Mark Harrison finished second with Roach powering from 12th to third. Hunter McDonald ended fourth and Joe Adams was fifth.

Courtney McCartney, Harrison and Roach each claimed a heat race.

Roach also moved forward in a make-up feature from Aug. 5 as he rallied from ninth to reach the Winner’s Circle. Slade Roach placed second with Garrett Donley third, Kaleb Roach fourth and Adams fifth.

Smith capitalized on starting the IMCA stock cars A Main on the pole. Ninth-starting Maddox advanced to the runner-up position with Paul Taylor third, Matthew Smith fourth and Cache Smith fifth.

Taylor and Willie Smith were the heat race winners.

Maddox outlasted 11th-starting Cache Smith to win the Aug. 5 make-up feature. Gregg Schell charged from 17th to third place with Matthew Smith fourth and Ryan Bohnstedt fifth.

Gemmill maneuvered from eighth to capture the IMCA modifieds A Main. Hoskins posted a runner-up result with McDonald rallying from 10th to third. Nick Link was fourth and Jeremy Chambers ended fifth.

Hoskins and Gemmill each claimed a heat race triumph.

Hoskins scored the triumph during the Aug. 5 make-up event. Chambers placed second with Troy Gemmill third, McDonald fourth and Link fifth.

Longdale Speedway will be off the next two weekends before returning to action Sept. 16 for Championship Night and FFA Night at the Races featuring pure stocks, IMCA sport mods, IMCA stock cars and IMCA modifieds.
