Jack Sodeman, Jr. Ready for Return to Sharon Speedway
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
NORTH JACKSON, Ohio (September 8, 2016) – Despite “regular season” competition ending at his routine weekend destinations, Jack Sodeman, Jr.’s season is far from over. The North Jackson, Ohio, native, who recently wrapped up track championships at Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park, will continue his 2016 campaign with a visit to old, but very familiar stomping grounds.
Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, will showcase 410 sprint car competition for the third and final time of 2016 this Saturday night, September 10, awarding a $1,500 payday after 25 laps of main event action. Sodeman, a former two-time track champion at the state-of-the-art facility, will attempt to capture his tenth win of the season during his visit to Sharon Speedway; a venue where he has been a victory lane visitor on 12 separate occasions throughout his career.
“We’ve had a lot of success at Sharon Speedway when we raced there weekly, so obviously, it’s always exciting for us to get back there,” Sodeman, Jr. said. “We won track championships there in 2009 and 2010, and even though that was a long time ago, we still have all of our notes and things we’ve learned while racing there. We want to race as much as we can and even do a little bit of traveling this fall, but with this so close to home, there was no way we were going to pass it up.”
The pilot of the Glassmere Fuel, Economy Tooling, PRS Transit, Townsend Gas & Oil, Inc., Butlerbuilt, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Simpson Race Products, Triple X Race Components, No. 23Jr finished 14th during his most recent Sharon Speedway appearance on Saturday, July 9, against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. The September 10 program will be the only 410 sprint car event in the Western Pennsylvania/Eastern Ohio corridor.
During recent 410 sprint car competition, Jack Sodeman, Jr. finished seventh at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania.
“I can’t thank my family and team enough for their support this season,” Sodeman said. “We’ve accomplished so much, but we aren’t done yet. I wouldn’t be in this position without them.”
