Jake Gallardo visits victory lane at Vado Speedway Park
All three Gallardos were back in action this past weekend at the Winter Meltdown at the Vado Speedway Park in Vado, NM.
Friday night, Jake won his heat race from third and then after starting 6th in the night's 30-lap feature, he worked his way to second and then was able to steal the lead from early leader Rodney Sanders to charge to the win!
Fito had a rough start to the weekend, falling out of his heat race with mechanical issues and scratcing for the remainder of the night. Peyton started and finished third in his heat race to qualify for the feature where he started and finished in the 13th position when the checkered flag flew.
Saturday, Jake ran fourth in his heat race and then completed a hard charging effort in the feature, racing from 14th up to 6th when the checkered flag flew. Fito's night didn't get a lot easier on Saturday as he fell out of the feature with a DNF after running fourth in his heat race to start the night and after a sixth place run in his heat race to start the night, Peyton's night ended with a sixth place finish in the night's b-main, missing a transfer spot into the feature.
