VITO CANCILLA EARNS RECORD-BREAKING WIN AT MADERA SPEEDFEST!
Martinez, Calif.’s Vito Cancilla turned in a record-breaking performance in the season-opening Madera SpeedFest, becoming the youngest Pro Late Model winner in Madera Speedway history on March 16, 2024.
Cancilla earned the feat at just 12 and a half years old, breaking NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Cole Custer’s mark. Custer set the record in May 2012, when he won his debut Madera Open Late Model feature just four months after his 14th birthday. The Ladera Ranch, Calif. driver went on to go three-for-three at Madera Speedway in Open Late Models before advancing to the highest levels of stock car racing.
