Haiden Cowan attends Volunteer 50; Gavin Cowan races in weekly show at Cherokee Speedway
On Friday afternoon, Haiden Cowan checked into Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tenn.) for the first night of the unsanctioned-Volunteer 50 weekend.
Stopping the clock ninth-quickest in his qualifying group, Cowan fell back three spots in the 25-lap prelim to finish 12th.
Transferring to the $50,050-to-win main event through a B-Main, Haiden raced to a 17th-place finish in the 50 lapper.
Gavin Cowan was also in action over the weekend, competing in the weekly 604 Late Model class at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday. Qualifying eighth-fastest out of 17 entries, Gavin was an early retiree in the 20-lap feature.
