Amanda Robinson finishes third at Delaware International Speedway
On Wednesday evening, Ross Robinson traveled to Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Del.) to turn the wrenches as his wife Amanda entered the Stockley Materials No. 4 Late Model into battle for the opening round of the fourth annual Battle of the Bay. In a field of 36 RUSH Crate Late Model Series entries, Robinson followed up a second-place finish in her heat with a fourth-place finish in the Dash. Clawing forward one spot in the 30-lap feature, Amanda notched a third-place finish, which came behind Joe Warren and Logan Roberson.
With Thursday’s event at Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) falling to bad weather, Robinson traveled to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Md.) on Friday for the $3,000 prize. With a second-place finish in her heat placing her on the fourth row for the feature, Amanda faded four spots to finish 12th.
For the Battle of the Bay finale on Saturday at Winchester Speedway (Winchester, Va.), Robinson topped the 43-car field in time trials before placing second in her heat. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Amanda recorded a 13th-place finish in the 30-lap affair.
