Mills attends Super Bowl of Racing at Golden Isles with LOLMDS
Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on their opening weekend, Trey Mills traveled to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) on Thursday afternoon for the Super Bowl of Racing.
With 51 Late Models checked in for the weekend, Mills qualified 18th-quickest in his stacked group and finished fifth in his heat race. Needing a Top-2 position in his B-Main to transfer, Trey recorded a 10th-place finish.
After rain showers washed out Friday's event, Mills returned to the seat on Saturday and qualified 10th-fastest but faded in his heat race to finish sixth. Being buried in his B-Main once again, Trey was unable to make the $25,000 finale.
