Logan Pike Victorious in Box Stock Season Opener
The 2022 Red Bluff Outlaws Championship Season kicked off on Saturday Night inside the Pauline Davis Pavilion in Red Bluff, CA. This marks the 41st year of competition for the Red Bluff Outlaws.
In total 28 drivers signed in to compete in the season opening Points Race for the Box Stock Class.
The day began with Kade Andes of Biggs, CA setting Fast Time. Andes turned a lap time of 10.097 seconds to earn the Fast Time Honors in Qualifying behind the wheel of his S&S, Andes Pool Supply #6k entry.
Heat Race #1 saw Petaluma, CA driver Riley Fuchs earn the Heat Race Win in his Mike Larbre Automotive, Pedroncelli Mobile Bottling #24f entry.
Heat Race #2 saw Anderson, CA's Bristol Tarter pilot her Factory QRC #22 entry to the victory.
Heat Race #3 was claimed by Anderson, CA driver Brantley Copeland in his Derek Copeland Racing #02 entry subbing for Zayne Ritcheson.
Heat Race #4 saw Bakersfield, CA driver Logan Banks pick up the win in his Factory QRC, 4Racing #7L entry.
The B-Feature was won by Paradise, Ca driver Brody Reinolds.
Trophy Dash competition returned to the Red Bluff Outlaws, but this time with a twist. Now the top six transfers to the Main Event will duke it out in a six lap dash to determine the front three rows of the night's 25 Lap Feature Event. The Trophy Dash was claimed by the SK Construction #08 of Deakon Kamisky from Cottonwood, CA.
The "Derek Copeland Racing" A-Main Event saw Logan Pike pick up his 5th career Red Bluff Outlaws Victory in his WKD Electric #229 entry. Finishing 2nd in the Main Event was Blake Scovel from Chico, CA in his Autism Awareness, SRT Karts #0 entry. Finishing 3rd was Grants Pass, OR driver Hunter Vanderstoel in the #12h entry.
This weekend we will be back with a Double-Header race weekend. Saturday, October 29th Points Race #2 will be on the docket. Then we return on Sunday, October 30th for the Annual Tyler Wolf Memorial (Points Race #3).
