Pair of Top-10 finishes with Iron-Man Series at North Alabama and Talladega
Trekking to North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Ala.) on Friday afternoon, Parker Martin joined the Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series for the $5,000-to-win Road to 'Dega 40.
Locking in the Top-10 in qualifying, Parker lined up on the third-row in the A-Main after setting the third-fastest lap in qualifying. Battling inside the Top-5 in the 40-lap main event, Martin brought home a fifth-place outing.
With the field elevated to 36 Late Models on Saturday at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.), Martin went from fifth-to-third in his heat race which placed him on the sixth-row for main event. With a $10,000 paycheck on the line, Parker gained four positions on his way to a seventh-place finish.
