Parker Martin
Martin attends Bristol Bash at Bristol Motor Speedway
Taking part in the inaugural Bristol Bash, Parker Martin was one of 29 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries invited to Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tenn.) on Friday night as the famed facility covered the half-mile oval in dirt. Following the fifth fastest time in his qualifying group, Martin posted a third-place finish in his heat, which positioned him ninth on the starting grid for the opening night feature. With $10,000 on the line, Parker faded back to a 19th-place outing.
After Saturday evening’s program was postponed to Sunday afternoon, Parker timed in third in his group before placing second in his heat behind Ross Bailes. Receiving the seventh-starting position for the $25,000-to-win Bristol Bash via the redraw, Martin slowed to bring out a caution on the 11th lap. Rejoining the field from the tail, Parker salvaged a 22nd-place outing in the 40-lap affair. (Josh James Artwork)
