Wings Unlimited Celebrates 13 More Feature Victories Across the Country
Inside Line Promotions - BIGLERVILLE, Pa. (June 16, 2013) - Wings Unlimited garnered more than a dozen feature victories across the country the past two weeks, including impressive wins in the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series and the Midwest Open Wheel Association.
410 FEATURE WINNERS -
Craig Dollansky became the first World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series driver to record back-to-back victories when he picked up the win at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Iowa, on June 7 and at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on June 8.
The victories gave Dollansky four for the season and improved his career total to 57, which ranks 10th on the all-time Outlaws list.
Rod George was also a two-time winner with a pair of trips to Victory Lane at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pa. Last Saturday, George took the lead on Lap 6 en route to the 4th annual Auto Racers for Kids Charity event triumph, which was his second win in as many weeks.
Shane Stewart charged from 10th to claim the MOWA win at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., on Saturday.
Two weeks earlier, Danny Smith earned his first MOWA victory of the season at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Ill., on June 2 for the Mary Lee Standridge Memorial.
Dylan Cisney picked up his first career 410 win at his hometown track of Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa., on Saturday.
360/358 FEATURE WINNERS -
Brad McClelland maneuvered from 10th to win his second straight and track-best 29th career victory at Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, Pa., on Friday.
Niki Young also charged from 10th to the victory at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., on Saturday to extend the points lead in the championship standings.
Derek Hagar won his sixth main event of the season on June 8 at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala., during the United Sprint Car Series race.
Austin Hogue added another win at Susquehanna Speedway in Newberrytown, Pa., on Sunday.
305/SPORTSMAN FEATURE WINNERS -
Dustin Dinan led all 25 laps to score his second win at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on June 7. Dinan nearly won his second straight as he finished a close second last Friday at the third-mile oval.
Russ Mitten recorded his first win of the season at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., on June 8.
