Hagar goes 2 for 3 in USCS Sprint Speedweek at Cla

Atwood, TN – May 27, 2013 – 2006 USCS Rookie of the Year, Derek Hagar from Marion, Arkansas made his fifth trip to the www.rockauto.com USCS victory lane on Monday night during Monday Motor Madness at Clayhill Motorsports. It was the USCS young gun’s second USCS Sprint Speedweek 2013 win in as many nights at the West Tennessee speedplant. The win also matched Hagar’s total for the entire 2012 season. Two-time USCS Clayhill winner Marshall Skinner also from Marion, Arkansas finished in the runner-up spot and 2012 USCS National Champion, Tim Crawley from Benton, Arkansas followed Hagar and Skinner to the podium with the K&N Filters Podium Award third place finish. Brad Bowden from Hernando, Mississippi had his best 2013 USCS finish in fourth place and 2010 USCS Mid-South regional series Rookie of the Year rounded out the top five drivers. Young gun and former USCS Modified driver, Casey Rowland from Nesbit, Mississippi led the next group of drivers in sixth place. Former I-30 Speedway track Champion, Zack Pringle from Benton, Arkansas followed Rowland in seventh place. The only female driver in the field, 2010 USCS Rookie of the Year, Morgan Turpen from Oakland, Tennessee finished in eighth place followed by 2008 USCS Rookie of the Year, Anthony Nicholson in ninth position. Ten-time series Champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee rounded out the top ten from the twenty-eight entries.

Tim Crawley won the Hoosier Speed Dash to kick off the evening’s action. Casey Rowland won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat. Marshall Skinner won the Butlerbuilt Second Heat. Second generation racer Joey Moughan from Springfield, Illinois won the www.rockauto.com Third Heat and Dalton Davis collected the victory in the Schoenfeld Headers Fourth Heat. 2010 Southern Thunder regional series Rookie of the Year, Eric Riggins, Jr. from Charlotte, North Carolina won the R.E. Technologies B-Main.

Only two points separate Derek Hagar and Tim Crawley in the battle for the 8th annual USCS Sprint Speedweek title. Pos.
