Jesse Baker Opens ASCS Southwest Season with Podium Finish at Arizona Speedway

26 Promotions – Queen Creek, AZ – (March 27, 2019) – Jesse Baker posted a podium finish Saturday night as the ASCS Southwest Region kicked off the 2019 season at Arizona Speedway.
“We started off the season by picking the last pill and starting seventh in the second heat race,” said Baker. “We were able to work our way up to a fourth-place finish, putting us in the re-draw where we drew the fifth position.”
Starting fifth in the fifteen-car field, Baker rocketed to the lead out of turn two on the opening lap.
“We were running the top of the track and lead the first 17 laps, and the car felt good up there,” described Baker. “We lost the lead as the middle of the track started to take rubber and we didn’t move down in time and ended up finishing in third.”
Next up for Baker is a trip to Casa Grande, AZ with the ASCS Southwest Region on April 13th at Central Arizona Speedway.
