Inside Line Promotions – ORRVILLE, Ohio (June 21, 2016) – Dale Blaney feels like he has been on a roller coaster throughout the first half of the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Speedweek.

Blaney has led the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., sponsored CH Motorsports team to one victory and two top 10s during four races.

“It’s been up and down,” he said. “I feel like we’ve run all right. We’ve had some speed at times and not enough speed at others. And I’ve made some mistakes.”

The eight-race event began last Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, where Blaney qualified 18th quickest overall and fastest in his group. He placed fourth in a heat race to lock into the 16th starting position for the main event.

“I just wasn’t that good early,” he said. “In the last half of the race I got pretty good. We salvaged something. It wasn’t the best night for us, but it wasn’t the worst.”

Blaney rallied to post a seventh-place finish.

Waynesfield Raceway Park in Waynesfield, Ohio, hosted Round 2 on Saturday. Blaney set quick time during qualifying, but he finished sixth in a heat race to miss locking into the dash by only one spot.

“All we had to do was run fifth in our heat race,” he said. “Every heat is tough. Sometimes you get in a mode where you think all I have to do is run fifth to get in the dash. I didn’t run the first three or four laps where I needed to be and got myself in trouble. I just couldn’t get back to fifth. That basically ruined our night.”

Blaney won the B Main and he advanced from 21st to 14th in the main event despite an obstacle.

“I think I got to 13th halfway through and got into the back of someone and spun myself out,” he said. “I think I could have got in the top 10 if that hadn’t happened.”

The Mainstream Holding, Inc., backed team found Victory Lane on Sunday at Millstream Speedway in Findlay, Ohio. Blaney timed in 20th quickest overall and fastest in his group. He then placed third in a heat race to miss the dash by only one position. That lined him up on the inside of the seventh row for the main event.

“The track was maneuverable where we could gain some ground,” he said. “It was pretty wide and pretty slick, right up our alley. It came to us pretty quick. It was pretty slow coming through there. I was sixth on a restart 11 or 12 laps into it. I got right to third on that restart. I got to second not too long after and I ran down Chad (Kemenah) and I got pretty good toward the end of it. Any time you can win from 13th it’s pretty special.”

Wayne County Speedway hosted the midpoint of Ohio Speedweek on Monday night. Blaney qualified 12th quickest overall and second in his group. He ended fifth in a heat race to start the main event on the inside of the 10th row.

“Attrition played a huge factor,” he said. “I think I could have got into the top 10, but we had a seat belt issue and had to pull off once. I had another seat belt issue and pulled off again to be safe.”

Blaney was credited with a 20th-place result.
