Shane Stewart, Brian Brown, Kerry Madsen, and Terry McCarl T5 on Lap 1....Lap 2, McCarl with a lot of smoke but able to continue....Lap 3, Caution is out. Sam Hafertepe, Jr. spun to a stop in Turn 4....Schatz already had a 1.568 second lead....Sammy Swindell in his pit under caution with engine trouble....Schatz low, Stewart high on the restart with Stewart keeping pace....Lap 7, Stewart searching around the track with Brown starting to close in....Lap 10 RO: 15 2 21 29 7 1d 24 51 13 83......Lap 12, Brown to the inside of Stewart through Turns 1 and 2, takes the runner up spot exiting Turn 4....Lap 14, Schatz now leading by 2.329 seconds. Brown, Stewart, Madsen, and Henderson T5....Schatz in traffic for several laps, working on getting around the No. 15h (19th) on Lap 19.....Shane Stewart has run down Brown to challenge for second on Lap 20, Brown will hold....Caution for Fuel on Lap 25....Schatz was leading by 2.874 seconds....RO (start) at the break: 15(1), 21(4), 2(2), 29(3), 1d(8), 7(7), 24(6), 51(5), 13(11), 71m(13), 11k(9), 83(10), 82(14), 4(19) 51s(19), 49(21) 9(15), Lapped 15h(12), 40(22), 59(25), 55(21), 81x(24), DNF 6r 45 1....Cars are making their way to the track.....Underway and Brian Brown is coming on the high-side....Madsen to third on the restart.....Lap 29, Brown with a huge run, closing in quickly with the battle third side-by-side between Madsen and Stewart.....Lap 31, Schatz has started to pull away, sitting at 1.405 seconds....Lap 33, Schatz into slower traffic...Slower traffic has forced Schatz off the bottom, still pulling away, now 1.981 seconds ahead of Brown....Lap 40, Dollansky into fourth down the back straight-a-way....Into Turn 3, Stewart over the cushion and into the wall, still rolling and headed to his pit....Brown moving around the track before the caution, staying low trying to run down the No. 15....Update from the Pits, Stewart out with a broken driveline....Brown with a huge run on the restart on the top...Lap 42, Brown again but not close enough....Brown diamonds Turns 3 and 4, goes high into Turns 1 and 2 on Lap 43 and YOU HAVE A NEW LEADER....GIVE IT BACK TO SCHATZ ON LAP 45 and Brown took the car high, dove low on Lap 46 in Turn 1 but still Schatz....2 laps to go, Schatz in traffic, Brown closing but out of time as Donny Schatz will win $150,000! Margin of victory 1.243 seconds...Clint Garner flipping after the Checkered flag, he is okay.
