Inside Line Promotions – BRITT, Iowa (July 31, 2016) – Terry McCarl led from flag to flag on Sunday during the lone National Sprint League visit of the season to Hancock County Speedway.

McCarl became the seventh different winner in the last seven NSL races and it marked his second triumph of the season after he captured the season-opening race.

“This is like an Outlaws show on this NSL deal,” he said in the Winner’s Circle. “It’s a pretty big deal to win one.”

McCarl capitalized on the pole position for the 20-lap feature as he quickly powered into the top spot as the green flag was waved. The lone caution of the race came on Lap 2 when Brooke Tatnell and Brandon Hanks collided in turn two.

McCarl got a clean restart and despite being in traffic for the second half of the race he was never closely challenged for the lead.

Ian Madsen, who scored his first career National Sprint League victory on Saturday, garnered a runner-up result for the second straight year at Hancock County Speedway.

“It’s good to come here and get a good second place,” he said.

Kerry Madsen held off Sammy Swindell for the final spot on the podium.

“We didn’t have it quite there in the A Main,” Madsen said. “We had such a great car in the heat it’s a shame we didn’t turn that into a win.”

Craig Dollansky rounded out the top five and he closed to within 15 points in the NSL championship standings to leader Danny Lasoski, who placed seventh.

Ian Madsen kicked off the night by setting quick time during qualifying before Dollansky, Cory Eliason and Kerry Madsen each won a heat race.

The National Sprint League will be off next weekend before resuming action on Aug. 8 at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa, for the 21st annual Front Row Challenge.
