Robards makes Wayne County start

The RS12 Motorsports team traveled to the 1/5-mile Wayne County Speedway (Wayne City, Illinois) on Saturday for the dirt oval’s Fall Spectacular.

Eighteen Outlaw Winged Micros were on the property, including Harrison Robards’ Spartan Transportation No. 12R ride from the RS12 stable. “Dirty Harry” came home fourth in his heat race and started seventh in the 20-lap A-Main.

Robards fought a tight condition in the feature and pulled off after the 15th circuit when the dash began to flash and the engine sounded off. A check of data revealed the engine had been hitting the rev limiter, but Robards elected to play it safe and not risk damage. He recorded a 15th-place finish.
