Snyder claims Indoor Kart League Championship

Tonight was the season finale for the Extreme Indoor Kart Series. Things kicked off with the qualifier race being won by Wild Child Chassis house driver Gary Sherman. The final race went under way with the point’s battle being extremely close. Derek Snyder was leading Chris Hettinger by three points, and Jeff Vrsek only six points back.

The drivers took off in the feature, and boy was it a rough race. The top six cars were in a constant battle, with the leader changing continuously for the first ten laps. As Vrsek, Snyder, Larry Wallace, and Tom Hernly battled it out, Snyder snuck his way through the intense racing to take the lead. When the fellas finally sorted out the mess, Snyder had checked out from the field with Hernly. Vrsek, Hettinger, Wallace and Phil Rutledge continuing to duke it out to the finish and were starting to reel in the leaders. When the smoke cleared, Snyder took the R/S Biomedical go-kart to victory lane for the third time this season and also sealed his first ever EIKS Championship. Tom Hernly finished second followed by Vrsek, Hettinger and Phil Rutledge.
