BRS Signs On To Help Get Eric to Victory Lane!
We’d like to thank BRS Radiator Machine and Fabrication for coming on board this season! Mark Klang and Brandon Waelti (a longtime friend of the Blumer family) are the owners of the business located on Madison’s east side.
Waelti has campaigned a Midget for many years and in the early days Klang was at his side as a crewman. Mark enjoyed his time in the pits, but admits once he started a family, it was tough to spend the time required to work on a race car and today his time at the track is limited.
As for Waelti, he still races a part time schedule. It is through racing that the Waelti’s and Blumer family met. Eric recalls, “We still have a photo of when I was about five, with Stephanie, Brandon and me by Brandon’s Midget. When I was a kid he was always someone who would go out of his way to say “hi” to me in the pits. When my dad would be in the pits taking photos, Brandon’s mom, Deb would watch me in the stands. He always had a cool looking car and was from Sun Prairie, so as a kid that was important too.”
Waelti had this to say about the company’s decision to sponsor the 6E, “We are helping Eric because I have known him since he was very little and is a very good kid. He works hard and does the work himself. As both Mark and myself are Sun Prairie natives it is great to see a local kid give it his all to be successful in the ever so expensive sport of racing. We wish Eric and his team a successful and safe race season!”
BRS, as the full name implies, does radiator work and fabrication of all types. They also perform hydraulic cylinder repair, welding and other services as you might expect from a diverse shop. Give them a call and see what they can do for you at 608.222.2655.
