HIBDON SURVIVES IRON MAN 100
Casey Arneson and Quentin Kinzley led the field to the green flag in the 100 lap, $5000 to win Iron Man 100. Arneson grabbed the lead as Kollin Hibdon passed Kinzley for second. Hibdon challenged Arneson for the lead but struggled to get around the Fargo driver. Arneson led the first 50 laps before a mandatory caution halted the race and allowed drivers and teams to add fuel. On the restart, third place Jeremy Keller powered by Arneson for the lead bringing Spencer Wilson with him. Arneson retook second as Marlyn Seidler passed Hibdon for fourth. As the laps wound down, Hibdon passed Seidler for third as Arneson started to reel Keller in for the lead. Bad luck would strike Arneson as he blew a tire with 25 laps to go. On the restart, Hidbon was all over Keller’s rear bumper. With 20 laps remaining, Hibdon slipped by and started to pull away over Keller. Kolllin Hibdon would not only survive 100 laps, but all the extreme heat, to win the Iron Man 100. Jeremy Keller finished second ahead of Marlyn Seidler. Casey Arneson drove through the field to finish fourth while Mark Dahl rounded out the top five.
