Rehill, B. McDonald, K. Mulholland, Clark Claim Season Finale Wins

Lake of the Woods Speedway hosted their final event in 2024 on September 8 with Special Guests of Quad Racers from Manitoba!

In the HD Contracting Enterprises 4-Cylinders, Madoc Muiholland started and finished first in the heat race, with Dustin Alcock taking second, Kamea Mulholland third.

In the feature, it was side by side for the majority of the race between Madoc and Kamea. But disaster struck as Madoc was forced to withdraw early due to overheating issues. Rookies Taylor Strong-McCauley and Derek Poirier finished second and third.

In the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, Brandon Rehill started on the outside front row in the heat race, pulling by Edward Bell on the outside. Christopher Leek would battle side by side with Bell throughout the heat, finishing second. Bell rounded out the top three.

In the feature, Rehill started outside row again to Bell and once again made the pass on the outside. Leek then made it through and was closing in on the leader. A series of cautions tightened up the crew but Rehill was able to shut the door on a hard charging (and current WISSOTA National Points Leader) David Simpson. When the dust settled, Rehill would claim his 17th feature win all time at Lake of the Woods Speedway. Simpson finished second, Leek third.

In the WISSOTA Pure Stocks, Morgan McDonald got it done from the pole position with Jesse Pederson and Bryson McDonald rounding out the top three in the heat race.

It was side by side all the way down the line in the feature as Bryson McDonald, Michael Copp, Pederson, and Morgan McDonald were stuck like glue lap after lap. A couple cautions eventually allowed Bryson McDonald to take the lead. Copp was right there but couldn't find enough to make the pass. B. McDonald would claim the checkered flag. Copp finished second, with Pederson rounding out third with a last lap pass on Morgan McDonald.

In the Quad heat race, It was a great battle between Ethan Clark and Mike Verbrugge. Clark would narrowly take the win.

In the feature, Clark would battle it out lap after lap with Cody Wojcik. Coming down to the line, it was Clark with the narrow, but very exciting win.

We would like to THANK our flagman Carl Mulder for his service over the last 7 seasons as he retires from full time duty at the track. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and time with his family.

THANK YOU to all of our wonderful fans for experiencing a great season of racing even with the loss of our Vice-President, family member, and close friend, Ashley Neniska. It was difficult for many of us, but we were able to put on some great racing.

Thank you to our amazing drivers who dedicated their time to compete on that track week in and week out with many of them traveling hundreds of kilometers to race.

Thank you to our incredible volunteers who put in their free time so that others can enjoy this wonderful sport. Without volunteers, nothing would happen.
And thank you to our great sponsors who have helped in every way possible so that we can continue to improve the product and the experience. It means so much.

From all of us at Kenora Motorsports Entertainment Ltd. THANK YOU.
