Falkenberg, Shearer, Guthrie and Jones Park It at Merced Speedway
(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- Saturday night at Merced Speedway, fans were treated to a great night of racing as Shawn Jones, Chris Falkenberg, Michael Shearer, and Carson Guthrie all scored victories.
A total of 20 IMCA Sport Mods gathered at Merced Speedway on Saturday night and it was all about Chris Falkenberg. Falkenberg would surge to the win over Chase Thomas, Guy Ahlwardt, Jack Aguiar, and Cody Parker who rounded out the Top-Five.
The Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Sprint Car Tour made their first ever appearance at Merced Speedway and brought 18 cars with them. In a dominating performance, Shawn Jones raced his way to the win over Jake Morgan, Cody Spencer, Shayna Sylvia, and Terry Schank, Jr.
14 Hobby Stocks checked in for action and Michael Shearer picked up the win. Chasing Shearer across the stripe was Shannon Nelson, Austin VanHoff, Raul Rodriguez Sr, and Kristie Shearer.
In Mini Late Model action, Carson Guthrie picked up top honors as he shared the podium with Timmy Crews, and Riley Jeppesen.
This week another great show is on tap at Merced Speedway as the USAC Western States Midgets are geared up for action along with the IMCA Modifieds, Mini Stocks, and Valley Sportsman.
Adult tickets will be available for $15, Seniors for $13, Kids 6-12 for $5, and those five and under will be admitted for free.
The front gates are slated to open 5pm with Racing going green at 7pm.
