THUNDERSTORMS RUIN FIRST EVER HOVIS RUSH LATE MODEL FLYNN'S TIRE TOUR EVENT AT TYLER COUNTY ON SATURDAY

(Middlebourne, WV)...Despite initially having no chance of rain in the forecast, a thunderstorm complex rolled through Ohio Saturday afternoon and crossed into West Virginia packing a strong punch of heavy rain and wind that forced the cancellation of what was to be the first ever Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Late Model Flynn's Tire Touring Series event at Tyler County Speedway. Many teams had already arrived after competing on Friday night at Lernerville Speedway. The Flynn's Tire Tour will try again at Tyler County on Sunday, September 4 for $4,000 to-win part of the "Hillbilly 100" with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Up next for the Flynn's Tire Tour will be doubleheader weekend in western Pennsylvania on August 5-6. The Friday night event will be the rescheduled July 1 show at Dog Hollow Speedway in Northern Cambria with $3,000 on the line. Then on Saturday night, the "Jook George Steel City Classic" will take place at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway in Imperial. Currently a minimum of $5,510 will go to the winner with a $1,000 bonus if the winner or winning car owner financially contributes to the event.
