SAPULPA, Okla. (August 30, 2016) Taking on the Jackson Motorplex already this season with a runner-up performance on July 29, the Lucas Oil Products/Griffith Truck and Equipment No. 52 driven by Blake Hahn returns to the Minnesota half-mile this Labor Day Weekend with the goal of victory at the 38th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

Coming off three straight top-tens in Lucas Oil ASCS and Champ Sprint competition, Hahn enters the weekend third in Lucas Oil ASCS standings, but knows he’ll have to be on point if he wants to keep his place on the podium.

“We’ve had some great runs this season, but we have been a little behind the past few races and Jackson is not a track you want to be behind at," said Hahn. "It's not that we're bad. We've had top-ten finishes, but we know we can do better so we’re going back to our notes and seeing where we got off."

Aiming for the weekend’s $10,000 top prize, Hahn feels confident with the changes the team is making on the car going into the weekend.

“The Jackson Nationals brings out some great talent, and with the race paying as well as it does, plus being paired with the National Sprint League, it’s only going to bring more good teams to the table, but we’re not focusing on the names, we’re just focusing on the track and making sure we get the car where it needs to be for the long haul.”

Since the Knoxville 360 Nationals, Hahn has taken part in five events, including Lucas Oil ASCS competition, POWRi West Midgets, USAC Southwest, and Champ Sprints in Missouri and Oklahoma.

While things in the Midget and USAC camp did not pan out to Hahn’s liking on August 18 at the Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., winged competition saw an eight place finish at the St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Mo. on August 20, followed by a ninth at the Missouri State Fair Speedway on August 21.

Most recently Hahn returned to his home track in Sapulpa, Okla. this past Saturday night with an eighth place finish for Jerry McGehee Motorsports in the Champ Sprint division.

Blake would like to give special thanks to his Grandparents for the continued support of his racing career, as well his father, Tom Hahn, and friend, Dalton, for their hard work on the No. 52, “This is a family team, and I can’t thank them enough for sticking with me and keeping me up on the wheel.”

The 38th AGCO Jackson Nationals takes place at the Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn. September 2-4, 2016. Blake will compete in Lucas Oil ASCS competition on the Friday and Sunday of the three day event.
