Timms strings together strong High Limit Racing swing with Liebig Motorsports

Ryan Timms kicked off his week with the Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series on Tuesday at I-70 Speedway (Odessa, Mo.) piloting the Shane Liebig-owned No. 10 Sprint Car.

With 34 Sprinters amassed for the FVP Platinum Batteries Midweek Money Championship event, Timms topped his 17-car group in time trials before going fourth-to-second in his heat. Gunning for the $20,000 top prize in the feature, Ryan continued his strong debut in the Liebig Motorsports entry as he climbed three spots in the 30-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He joined race-winner Brad Sweet and James McFadden on the podium.

For the rescheduled Diamond Classic on Wednesday at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.), Ryan backed up a runner-up heat outing with a fourth-place finish in the Dash. After soaring into the lead on lap 10 of the feature, Timms was forced to surrender the lead three circuits later due to a fuel leak. He charged from the ninth row to salvage a ninth-place finish in the 35-lapper.

In a brief stint with the POWRi National Midgets on Thursday at Port City Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.), Timms turned in a fifth-place finish in the fifth annual DRC Sooner State 55.

Reuniting with the Liebig Motorsports team on Friday and Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas) for the High Limit Sprint Car Series doubleheader season finale, Ryan followed up a third-place finish on Friday with a fifth-place finish in the $50,000-to-win All-In Championship finale on Saturday. He chased Brent Marks, Daryn Pittman, Emerson Axsom, and Corey Day to the checkers.
