Enterkin Sweeps The Mag; Joiner Finishes Sixth

Jesse Enterkin broke out the broom in Crate Racin’ USA Late Model Sportsman action over the weekend at Magnolia Motor Speedway in his Trading Paints No. HTF1 Langenfelder Mechanical Contractors / Three Trade Consultants/ Law Offices of Cole & Davis/ Capital Race Car Crate Late Model.

He bagged a pair of feature wins at the 3/8-mile oval.

Meanwhile, Joseph Joiner overcome early adversity to rally to a sixth-place finish in the $10,000-to-win E-Z-GO Challenge finale for the Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Models on Saturday night.

“We got the broom out and swept the weekend at The Mag! Rarely do things like this happen, and I sure am thankful for it,” Enterkin shared. “This car was on a rail all weekend, and the racetrack was awesome. It was the most fun I’ve had behind the wheel, and I’m just thankful for the great opportunity.”

For Joiner he got behind the eight ball to start the weekend but rebounded for a Top-10 finish when the final checkered flag fell.

“We were fast off the trailer, but I caught the wall in the heat race battling for the lead, and that left us in a B-Main on Saturday. We won the B-Main and had a great hot rod in the feature, but with this many good cars, it’s tough to get to the front,” Joiner said. “We’ll take our sixth-place finish and head to Senoia (Raceway) this weekend with the Super Late Model.”

Hunt the Front rolled into Magnolia Motor Speedway over the weekend with two guns blazing. Jesse Enterkin brought the Hunt The Front No. HTF1 into battle in the Late Model Sportsman division, while Joseph Joiner set his sights on the $10,000 top prize in the E-Z-GO Challenge program with the Crate Racin’ USA Late Models.

Jesse hit the ground running in the Late Model Sportsman division on Friday night by setting second fast time in qualifying before blazing to a heat race win to earn the second-starting spot for the night’s feature. He had a great run in the feature, and topped a slider-filled battle for his second win of the year, which came over Kyle Shaw, Matt Grable, Chad McCool, and Bailey Callahan.

Meanwhile, on Friday evening with 58 Crate Racin’ USA Late Models in the pits, Joseph set fast time in his qualifying group to earn the pole for his heat race. He was battling for the top spot in his heat race, when he tagged the wall. Ultimately, he crossed the line in the fifth position, which relegated him to a B-Main on Saturday night.

Starting third in Saturday’s B-Main, Joiner took the lead on the opening circuit and never looked back to claim the victory, which locked him into the 21st starting for the finale. In the 75-lap feature Joseph advanced 15 spots to finish sixth.

On Saturday night Jesse broke out the broom by setting fast time over the 31-car Late Model Sportsman field. He then won his heat race and wired the field in the 20-lap feature for his second win in as many nights and his third of the 2021 campaign. He was followed across the line by Kyle Shaw, Bailey Callahan, Bradley Price, and Ray Mauldin.
