From McKenna, "Thank you so very much to everyone who has prayed for me, sent encouraging notes, cards, etc. or stopped by the merch trailer to ask my friends and family how I'm doing or buy a t-shirt. It's a lot to take in and comprehend at once, but I'm most grateful to see such a great depth of goodness in a sport that often allows the ferocity of competition to shadow it. I'm grateful to be alive and to be healing as fast as I am. I truly believe everyone's prayers have made a difference. As hard as it is to work hard all off season and year only to have one of the most special races of the year to end like that, I'm so thankful for the ways it has brought it together and that it wasn't worse. God works in mysterious ways, and I have no doubt He will use this for His glory. I know He already has. God bless, and thank you all so much again. It means the world."
