Garrett Smith tackles another week of Hell Tour competition
In attendance for another week of Hell Tour competition, Garrett Smith followed the DIRTcar Summer Nationals to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Tuesday afternoon.
With 29 Late Models signed in for the week three opener, Garrett topped his qualifying group before finishing runner-up in his heat race. Rolling off fourth in the $5,000-to-win main event, Smith faded to finish outside the Top-10 in 13th.
Wednesday's event at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) was rained out.
Checked in at Macon (Ill.) Speedway for the Herald and Review 100, Smith survived a rough and lengthy 100-lap feature to record a Top-10 finish in 10th.
Not following the tour to Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday, Garrett went home early and did not finish out the week.
